What does LP and SP mean in real estate?
In real estate when studying a Comparative Market Analysis, there is a column of information called the List Price to Sales Price Ratio (LP/SP). Of course this is somewhat self-explanatory yet knowing the significance of this little ratio can mean a lot to a potential Seller or Buyer.
The SP/LP and SP/OLP columns show the ratio for the sale price to list price and sale price to original list price. For example, a listing whose original list price was $200,000, but had a price reduction to $195,000 before selling at $193,000 would have an SP/LP ratio of 98.97 and an SP/OLP ratio of 96.5.
Abreviation | Meaning |
---|---|
LD | List date. The date the property was put on the market. |
LL | Lower Level |
LP | List price |
LP/SF | List price per sq. ft. |
LP and OLP – Refers to the List Price (current) and the Original List Price. This shows if there has been a price reduction or change. DOM (Days on Market) - Refers to the number of days on the market in the current listing.
LP/SF = List price per square foot. DOM = Days On Market.
It also shows the amount that investors are comfortable paying for each dollar of sales per stock. While the ideal ratio depends on the company and industry, the P/S ratio is typically good when the value falls between one and two. A price-to-sales ratio with a value less than one is better.
The price-to-sales ratio (Price/Sales or P/S) is calculated by taking a company's market capitalization (the number of outstanding shares multiplied by the share price) and divide it by the company's total sales or revenue over the past 12 months.
Question: What does LP and SP mean in real estate? Answer: LP stands for “Listing Price,” the initial asking price set by a seller. SP stands for “Selling Price,” the final price at which a property is sold.
Under its limited partnership (LP) status, a RELP has a general partner who assumes full liability and one or more limited partners who are liable only up to the amount they contribute. The general partner is usually a corporation, an experienced property manager, or a real estate development firm.
Limited Partner: The limited partner (LP) is a partner with limited liability (meaning their liability is limited to the extent of the partner's share of ownership) who provides funding for the project in a syndication and shares in the profits. In an apartment syndication, the LP is the passive investor.
What is LP in purchase?
What is Lease Purchase? On a Lease Purchase (LP) an amount of the total cost of the vehicle will be deferred (estimated future resale value/ residual value) until the end of the agreement. Your monthly payments will be based on the total cost less the deferred amount.
(Eq.2) Loan to Value Ratio = Outstanding Loan Balance / Property Value. or, LTV = OLB / Value. The loan balance at any point in time is readily calculable.
Before the loan gets approved, the bank will meticulously examine the legal aspects of the property to be mortgaged. Personal Loan (PL) is highly suitable for those seeking a quick loan. This is because the process is not as lengthy as Loan Against Property (LAP).
An LP is a record which usually has about 25 minutes of music or speech on each side. LP is an abbreviation for `long-playing record.
The terms “EP” and “LP” were originally referencing this capacity. EP stands for “Extended Play,” and one would usually comprise a collection of 4 – 6 tracks, with a playtime of around 20 minutes. LP stands for “Long Play,” and one could feature 10 – 12 tracks and be double the length.
The LP (from "long playing" or "long play") is an analog sound storage medium, a phonograph record format characterized by: a speed of 331⁄3 rpm; a 12- or 10-inch (30- or 25-cm) diameter; use of the "microgroove" groove specification; and a vinyl (a copolymer of vinyl chloride acetate) composition disk.
A sale price is the price of an item, minus any discounts. The sale price can be calculated by subtracting the dollar amount of any discount from the original price. A discount can be calculated by multiplying the percentage of the discount by the original price.
How to Calculate Selling Price Per Unit. Determine the total cost of all units purchased. Divide the total cost by the number of units purchased to get the cost price. Use the selling price formula to calculate the final price: Selling Price = Cost Price + Profit Margin.
The Price to Sales ratio, also known as the P/S ratio, is a formula used to measure the total value that investors place on the company in comparison to the total revenue generated by the business. It is calculated by dividing the share price by the sales per share.
There is no hard and fast number to define a good EPS across companies. Since so many factors go into a company's net income and stock price, variables always exist from one company to the next. To determine whether a company's EPS is "good," it's essential to consider the company's earnings per share in context.
What does P mean in real estate?
P (Pending) – The property is still under contract. The buyers are in the process of closing on the property. Title work, insurance, survey, HOA information, appraisal, finalizing financing are all being performed and completed during the pending status.

A limited partnership agreement helps protect your business into the future by outlining each partner's roles and responsibilities, as well as how they share in the business profits. You should use a limited partnership agreement if you want to form a limited partnership or formalize an existing limited partnership.
Moreover, an LP shouldn't own liability-producing assets such as real estate, equipment or vehicles since the LP's general partners are personally liable for lawsuits arising from its assets. That's why it's preferable to title your 'dangerous' assets to a limited liability company.
