Your real estate license is your ticket to a new career, and passing the salesperson exam is one of the mandatory requirements.
The pass rate for the California Real Estate Salesperson Exam fell to 45% in the 2nd Quarter of 2022, according to the latest statistic from the California Department of Real Estate.
In the 2nd Quarter of 2022, 15,385 candidates have sat for the exam, 7,014 people received the California Real Estate License. That’s around a 45% pass rate for test takers, dropped from 49% compared to the 2nd quarter of last year.
The California Real Estate salesperson exam is comprised of 150 multiple-choice questions. In order to pass the exam an examinee must score 70% or higher to pass. This test is purposefully difficult, but not impossible. The real estate exams are not to be taken lightly. We recommend you take the exam prep course before you sit for the state exam. Exam prep courses are designed to help people prepare for their tests and claim to boost pass rates at a greater percentage than those who do it on their own.
