3 wineries and wine tastings in and around Lujan de Cuyo (2024)

Bodega Lagarde is a historic estate in Mendoza, Argentina, known for its excellent wine and delicious Argentinian cuisine. Acquired by the Pescarmona family in 1969 and now run by sisters Lucia and Sofia Pescarmona, this winery offers tours of the vineyards and winemaking process. The restaurant provides a luxurious experience with options for a 4-course or 7-course lunch paired with their own wines.

Nice place, best food and amazing wine!!!100% recommended

Wow this place is special. Had a set menu at Zonda. Even though this is an excellent winery, the food stole the show. Well thought out, delicate cuisine. The chefs are knowledgable and passionate. Awesome!

Absolutely one of the best experiences! Our waiter, Jorge, and sommelier, Paula, provided outstanding service! We had the 7 course pre fixe dinner! The food was spectacular in taste and presentation and we each did a different wine pairing so we were able to taste their fabulous wines!I highly recommend Fogón at Bodega Lagarde! It is a wonderful experience!

Fantastic! Could not ask for a better setting and a more luxurious afternoon. The 7 course lunch was outstanding with great flavours and perfect pairings. The service was impeccable and they were very kind to indulge my preference to speak in not so great Spanish [that's is how you get better]. Wine pours were very generous. My partner had a few top ups as well [alas, I was the driver]. My all means, treat yourself to this amazing experience while in Mendoza.

One of my favorite wineries in Mendoza.Amazingly beautiful restaurant in a garden, super nice staff. You can choose a set menu o a la carta. This is the best as most other wineries forge huge sets, with too much food. Also there is a super flexible choice for wine tastings over lunch. We had just sparklings. For the desert we wanted a small bit that wasn’t on the main menu and a waiter was so kind to get it to us.Highly recommended! Make sure to book in advance;)

One of, if not the, best restaurants in all of Mendoza! Truly a lovely place to dine - excellent food and friendly staff. The organic garden and grounds are lovely to peruse and the olive oil is a must-try as well.

Great tour followed by a fantastic meal at their restaurant. We were served by Ariadna and we couldn't have been happier with the service! The restaurant atmosphere is also amazing.

Great restaurant to visit in Mendoza, Lujan De Cuyo close to Maipu - food was excellent and creative and so many new and exciting flavors including the herbal tea from flowers from their garden. The wine was really nice too. Only giving 4 because service was a bit slow, while the staff was plentiful. Ala Carte Menu was also an option! Great Vegetarian options and Empanada!

Amazing place, the only restaurant I've been twice during my stay in Mendoza. Service is excellent, location of the tables close to the vineyards creates a very relaxing environment, the steaks (especially the t-bone to share) are prepared to perfection and of course, the wines are great too (underated! Try the primeras vinas). Must go wherever in Mendoza.

The food and ambience are excellent. The wine selection (premium) as part of the experience is also very good.Food is well served, but the names of each experience are misleading: there are two options, the “4 courses” and “7 courses”, but in fact they are not courses. They consider the inter-courses “sorbet” and the “coffee” as “one course” each…Despite that, we were happy with the experience.

If you are wine tasting around this area you have to have the 4 Course Lunch at Bodega Lagarde. It’s where most wine tours will take you but for good reason. Come hungry because they also have massive steak portions but per the usual it’s amazing. For more travel recommendations check us out at on IG @boyd_voyage

A once in a lifetime experience for us and the food and service was spectacular. Don't hesitate if you get the chance.

Great location, super delicious 7 course menu with wine paring, nice walk through the wineyards and friendly staff. Thank you.

It’s a bit of a rip off if you come later than lunch and you just want a glass of wine - basically they charge you 50% of the price of the bottle even though you get only 3 inches of wine (a small glass). Therefore my glass of wine cost 12.000 pesos (almost £11). You don’t have any other options after 3pm. Of course, you’d be better of buying a whole bottle, but for a solo traveller it is not really an option to drink up a bottle. Ridiculous price structure.Their restaurant is open from midday to 3pm and they wine have tasting is from 10am only. From my experience, it’s too expensive for what it is.

This is an incredible place to go for lunch. Such a beautiful setting, the photos don’t even do it justice. Delicious food and wine, fantastic service. All round, 10/10. Was very special and would really recommend.

Really beautiful bodega not far from central Mendoza, we did the tour which was only about 25 minutes total but still informative and interesting…the outdoor patio is great and the organic 2022 Malbec was absolutely phenomenal, highly recommend visiting this place while in Mendoza

I had lunch at Fogon Lagarde - great experience, excellent service, good food and nice wine pairing with up to 3 glasses per pairing

Had lunch booked here, the 4 course meal with a pairing of 3 wines costs about 25,000 pesos (maybe 80 USD depending what rate you get).Food was very high quality, service from both the sommelier and the dining staff was excellent, giving us a detailed background on the dishes/drinks. Steak was great, as were all the other dishes.Highly recommend as a lunch place in the area.

We did a tour in English and learned about the vines and winemaking process. It looked like the sommelier was leading the Spanish speaking tour group which would have been neat. It was just us in the English tour and the guide was very open to answering our many questions. The best part was lunch. The atmosphere is just lovely with all the tables under the shade of a large tree and with views of the vineyard. I appreciated the many menu options after eating way too much food in days prior. They have a couple options for several course menus but you can order a la crate as well. The food was incredible. You must get the dulce de leche lava cake! Loved the ribeye and empanadas as well. The wine was divine and loved the sommelier’s recommendations. She chose a rose, the Malbec DOC, and a sparkling sweet wine. I don’t normally like sweet wines but enjoyed this one and really loved the Malbec DOC. We also tried the Henry after they talked it up on the tour. It’s their signature wine made of the best grapes each year. They ferment it in oak instead of the steel and hand mix it. It was fun to try!
